A 14-year-old thought he was about to hunker down with Madden '07, perhaps for a little Franchise Mode, and got something so so so much better.

Christmas became XXX-mas for a 14-year-old Layton boy who discovered hard-core pornography on a video game he received as a gift.

Kolton Mahoney was shocked when he put the Madden NFL 07 game in his new Xbox 360 console Christmas day and an explicit image popped up on his television screen.

"This is definitely not Madden," he said recalling his first thought after seeing the image.

Kolton turned off the Xbox and notified his parents, Linda and Tim Mahoney, who viewed the video game and were equally stunned.

MJD over at the mothership has basically summed up my stance perfectly: if you're the kid, why complain?

What's funnier, though, than story is the reaction "kelly," a commentor on MJD's piece, to what he had to say.

You are an idiot. Put down your 40 or crack pipe or whatever your on before you write another stupid blog...Porno for a 14 year old are like cigarettes in prison? not all kids are/were like you. Some were raised right. Obviously this young man was and you weren't.

Damn, I hope you don't pro-create... keep whacking on your sheets and do the country a favor. One less child raised to be a pimp or crack-whore away from society.
