Nothing Says USA Like Basketball and Blogging

As the USA basketball team prepares for another embarassing blow to our nation's sports reputation, potential players for the squad are sharing the emotions involved in having to follow up 2004's highly unsucessful squad.

Joe Johnson, Antwan Jamison, Brad Miller, and Chris Bosh are lending their prose to NBA.com, writing a series of blogs on their experiences at training camp in Las Vegas. We wonder what poor intern got stuck ghostwriting these.

The consensus is that the team got it right this time by picking Coach K and attempting to put a team that's got depth and role players instead of a random assortment of all-stars together. But it doesn't matter. As long as Americans continue to believe they're the best at everything, they'll continue to get embarassed.
